Gufo N.35 Sculpture

The Owl, an animal of good luck, is undoubtedly the most recurrent subject in Gianmaria Potenza’s production. The ability of this animal to see in the darkness, therefore synonym of wisdom and unconscious knowledge, represents the duality of the artist’s eye since the intrinsic understanding of the creator of art does not only consist of bringing light to darkness but also life to darkness itself. Its dimension and the glass marble inserts for its eyes give them a lively glance.
