Lightness, the theme we have chosen for this year’s edition, can be expressed in countless forms and can find its reason for being in all the different realms of creativity

In Como’s historic center, the festival will unfold between Palazzo del Broletto and the Church of San Pietro in Atrio, while along the lakeside, Villa del Grumello and other venues within the Chilometro della Conoscenza will take the spotlight.Villa Anna in Cernobbio and Borgovico33 will host exclusive projects by the Grieder Contemporary gallery, while select locations throughout the city will showcase site-specific installations by artist Valerio Eliogabalo Torrisi. Additional bespoke projects will be on display at Hilton Lake Como, Hotel Villa Flori, and Sheraton Lake Como Hotel, creating a vibrant, multi-dimensional celebration of design and creativity.

At Villa Del Grumello, the Lake Como Design Festival will host Lightness in Progress, an exhibition featuring works, projects, and furniture from various galleries and studios, all exploring the theme of lightness. The Chilometro della Conoscenza will showcase the Contemporary Design Selection, curated by Giovanna Massoni, while the villa's ancient dock will stage the audio-visual installation Paesaggi d'acqua by Stefano Larotonda and Niccolò Nessi.

In the city center, Palazzo del Broletto will present The Form of Lightness, an exhibition focusing on the evolution of the chair over the past 100 years, while San Pietro in Atrio will display Lightness on Paper, celebrating 35 years of Lithos with works by prominent architects and designers. Special installations by Valerio Eliogabalo Torrisi will be scattered throughout the city, and Grieder Contemporary will showcase Weight of Illumination at Villa Anna and works by Jorinde Voigt at Borgovico 33.

Finally, Hilton Lake Como, Hotel Villa Flori, and Sheraton Lake Como will feature site-specific installations, including Jonathan Bocca’s A Piedi Nudi, Thomas Serruys' Resourcer, and Micare Obscure by Dora Stanczel.

Developing exhibitions and special projects that can propose a dialogue between art and design has always been the stylistic feature of our program and every year we strive to offer our visitors a new way of looking at these disciplines and at creativity in general, inserting the exhibitions into unique architectural contexts which can themselves be an integral part of the exhibition itinerary
