The Artisans

Renowned photographer and Director Manfredi Gioacchini explored portraiture and interior photography before dedicating himself to capturing the relationship between man and nature. Influenced by his time in Africa as a documentary photographer, his first book “Portraits of Artists” (2016), earned him a spot in permanent collections at the MoMA (NYC) and le Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), adding to a wealth of collaborations and exhibitions. His book “Floating Islands” (2020) aims to promote eco-consciousness through shots of today's scarce untouched naturalistic landscapes.

After completing her degree in contemporary art history in Bologna, Anna Savini worked as a photo editor and iconographic researcher at prestigious agencies in Milan. Upon returning to her hometown, Anna shifted her focus to crafting collages using reclaimed materials like fabric scraps, papers, and newspaper clippings, breathing life into famous figures and various animals. Her meticulous craftsmanship and in-depth research result in distinctive pieces, some of which have adorned the walls of the Galleria BoA Spazio Arte in Bologna.

Guendalina Salini is an Italian artist based in Rome. She has been exhibiting in several national and international exhibitions. After studying in London where she received a Master's in Fine Art at Middlesex University, she began exhibiting with art galleries and non-profit spaces. Returned to Italy, she has been exhibiting in different private galleries and foundations. Her research uses different means of expression, from installation to video, collages, drawings, photography and performance. She has conducted several workshops and participatory projects, collaborating with several associations.

Trained in Industrial Design at the MACHINA Lonati Fashion and Design Institute, Elena Rogna is a brilliant designer with a distinctive eclectic approach. An abandoned mansion or a tiny leaf can equally spark her creativity. Her hands guide the chisel to refine every single curve and joint, ensuring each piece is unique. A stimulating collaboration between master artisans and innovative brands is at the base of her capsule collections, which synthesize the vision of who crafted them and the one of those they are dedicated to.

Monica Antonelli is a portrait and abstract photographer, known for her ability to unveil hidden beauty. Inspired by urban landscapes, she creates captivating abstract images that prompt introspection. Her work, recalling that of artists like Rothko and Valentino Vago, invites viewers to find their own stories within the images. Beyond abstraction, Monica intertwines photography with storytelling, addressing social issues in acclaimed volumes. Among her many accolades, she won the Bronze Medal at the World Photo Annual 2023 and continues to showcase her photos worldwide.

Founded in 2006 by Elena Galateri di Genola, Guri I Zi is committed to producing ethically crafted, premium textiles for tableware and interior decor, with a focus on women’s empowerment. Through her "Motivo Donna" collections, she merges Italian design with meticulous craftsmanship, weaving each piece on wooden looms in Italy using natural plant-based fibers. Guri I Zi stands for more than just textiles; it embodies values of social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and a profound appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship, making every product truly unique.

Milan-based artist Alice Crepaldi pursues a harmonious blending of sculpture, furniture design, and functional art. With a background in industrial design followed by her transformative studies at the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s School of Art in London, she masterfully integrates sculptural qualities into everyday objects. Rottet Studio was founded in 2008 by Lauren Rottet, arguably one of the most accomplished interior architect and designer of our generation, being the first woman in history to be elevated to Fellow status by both the American Institute of Architects and the International Interior Design Association and celebrated by the design industry’s top honors. She played a significant role in shaping the design landscape of the world’s leading luxury hotels, cruise lines, high-rise residential, homes and offices for high profile individuals all over the world. Rottet is celebrated for tailoring her innovative and sophisticated designs, which combine a deep understanding of architecture with a keen eye for interior detail, to ensure every project is unique.

Italian architect Giovanna Sposato worked as a restorator for 15 years, mastering the ancient gilding technique of gold leaf. She launched the "Signora Luna" design project blending ancient craftsmanship with innovative design concepts. Sposato's handmade objects are decorated using the millenary gold-leaf gilding method using local materials and skilled craftspeople. Reflecting a seamless fusion of past and present, her work aims to stimulate collective awareness of our heritage while creating singular pieces that speak to our creative psyche.

Founded in 2013, Michelangelo Style is a Carrara-based workshop that merges craftsmanship and engineering to celebrate marble and natural stone. Founders Gianni and Stefano, a lifelong craftsman and quality-control engineer respectively, collaborate with artisans all over the world to enrich their collections and approaches to molding marble. Porcellane Nuova Triade began crafting porcelain in 1959 as “PBB”, later becoming “Triade” to symbolize its founders and elemental inspiration: Earth, Water, and Fire. In 1997, the company passed to the founders' children, Sergio and Laura, who launched the ICIO LEVANTE brand in 2016. Based in Mantua, Italy, Giuseppe Gradella is a professional photographer who explores the fleeting impressions of memory and dreams through his photos. He believes that every image is frozen between layers, waiting to be freed or find a way out. Whether portraits, fashion, or fine art projects, Gradella’s photographs straddle what is opposite and what has held back so far. Like a thunderstorm after months of drought, he likens photography to a state of apnea, lurking under the surface until breath allows him to resurface and capture his surroundings from a perspective.
