A deliberate lack of depth and an indulgent use of vibrant colors mark this stunning mixed-media painting. The window with a sea view in the backdrop suggests it is probably June 21st (the Summer Solstice) in this coastal home, where a woman fully envelops a man with her body, a gesture speaking to the all-absorbing power of hugs.
