Charming Country Mansion: Villa Cordevigo
Nestled among vineyards and olive groves in the hamlet of Cordevigo, the beautiful Villa Cordevigo is a splendid mansion that encapsulates harmony and beauty. The interiors of the former 17th-century aristocratic residence exude its historic charm, while its peaceful surroundings preserve the indigenous soul of the place.
The Villa Cordevigo is a charming country mansion in the Cordevigo hamlet of Veneto, from which it takes its name. It is positioned on a small hill overlooking the cypress trees, and a wide stretch of vine and olive groves belonging to the Villabella winery. The location is peaceful, and ideal due to its proximity from the Garda Lake and the romantic town of Verona.
The roots of the sumptuous Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais go back to the 16th century, which has served as a private residence for noble families through the ages: the Pignolati, the Lombardi, the Saladini and the Dolci. In late 1990’s, Villa Cordevigo, and the wine and olive estate were acquired by the local wine producing families, Delibori and Cristoforetti who still proudly own it.
The lush surroundings of the Villa Cordevigo fill the air with a fairy tale charm. The building is divided into two wings, known as "barchesse" in Italian, with a large courtyard featuring an artistic fountain and small Italianate garden. The complex also includes a beautiful Renaissance patrician chapel dedicated to St Martin, a vast park and a truly immense vineyard.
A cypress-lined avenue leads to the bright red and yellow facade of the building. The architecture style of villa Cordevigo is an amalgam of the different period décor, artistic details that have been added through centuries by the past families who resided in the villa.
Each of the 35 rooms & villa differs from one another through the color palette and decorative pieces, however, all the accommodations rich in artistic appearance, preserve the indigenous soul of the place.
Soaked in the aristocratic atmosphere, noble history of the villa, the Oseleta restaurant, the Michelin star restaurant is an unmissable part of Villa Cordevigo. The pleasures of the table and the culinary arts are the principles that guide the chef in his creation of delightful flavors that simply charm the senses.
The bistro instead is the cheerful and casual spot to enjoy breakfast with a magnificent view over the countryside or candlelit dinner under a star-studded sky.
In the realm of peace, a jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, infra-red sauna, and a Turkish bath, is a warm haven that ensures relaxation and well-being of the guests. Those who prefer to take a stroll can head straight to the gorgeous Italianate garden, lawns encircling the pool.
