Confini Mixed Media

A singular interpretation of the concept of "borders" ("confini" in Italian), this mixed media is composed of fabric knotted on resinated cement. Enhanced with a brown hue, the striking shapes created by the knots exude a sense of suffocation and restriction. This piece is inspired by artist Fabio Pietrantonio's many travels around the world and his connection to indigenous communities.
