Part of the Blue Bird & Myosotis collection, this handprinted set of espresso cup (Ø8 cm, H 4.5 cm) and saucer (Ø12 cm) will add a lively and colorful accent to an eclectic or modern interior. Its white glazed surface is decorated using the "engobbio" technique with black, blue, and light grey colors. This stunning work of art is unique and can be combined with the others in the same series for a complete look. Its eclectic design was inspired by the artist's love for Medieval iconography, by a manuscript about herbs published around 1350-1375 in Northern Italy and entitled "Compendium Salernitanum," and J.L. Borges "The Book of Imaginary Beings."

AINA KARI

Marina Cighir is the passionate creator of Aina Kari brand who loves exploring the many ways of matching the most exclusive materials and Italian craftsmanship as Murano glass and Palissandro marble, from the recovery of an uneven block , in a contemporary path to create unique decorative objects and design candles. The brand was founded between Milan and Venice, the axis of Italian design, striking the right balance between art as a source of inspiration, and ethics to give the future a real future. The brand meets a fully "Made in Italy" production process marked by a careful selection of the finest suppliers and hyper-local production.

Aina Kari’ stands on three fundamental pillars: Italian craftmanship, sustainability and bold material combination. These three notions guide the research, the experimentation, the creation and the manufacturing of the designs. Fluid lines are enhanced by vibrant Murano glass colors in contrast with the roughened and finished satin of the marble. From Crevola query in the heart of Ossola Valley to Murano Island to highlight the excellence of Italian artisans, where the silent monumentality of marbles brightly embrace the fragility and elegance of Murano glass artefacts.
