Each home has its own soul. When designing a house, always enhance the “history” of the place, and cannot imagine doing a décor without a touch of it’s past.
What does "Made in Italy" mean to you?
Italy has a fantastic history of craftsmanship for me, I Think of Venice and it’s Murano glass, always amazing and a permanent source and Fornassetti’s wonderful designs.
Who/what has inspired the most your work and style?
My inspiration can come from looking at Mother Nature or from the motif of an ancient silk sari, as well as a cabinet design from the 1940’s. Inspiration is everywhere always, this is why creation is so rewarding.
Describe your design approach and philosophy.
I think my work comprises a combination of my traditional upbringing and mytravelling childhood, discovering different countries and cultures. The result is quite aformal style, mixed with a strong taste for unexpected emotions! So, my work is ablend of all of these elements. Ultimately, I like an eye-catching effect: when youenter a room, one thing has to catch the eye and the rest must be subtle and chic. Resultantly, our work strikes a good balance between the owner’s personality, oursophistication and a touch of the daring.
What is your idea of the ‘ultimate luxury”?
