Red Fish Rectangular Polychrome Rug

Japanese Watercolor paintings inspire the Koi Pond capsule collection. The rug's color scheme preserves the color transparency intrinsic to watercolor paintings, creating an ethereal effect. This rug is hand-knotted from New Zealand wool and silk, with 100 knots per inch. The challenge was to convey the watercolor technique in the rug, which is managed using a unique thread mix. Each knot in the rug is made up of a track composed of three bundles of nine threads. These carpets incorporate so many colors that choosing yarns took several days.
