This artwork represents a graphic synthesis of the human body, estranged from its context to assume an abstract, almost mystical quality. Employing the patterning technique, the artist impresses the human figure onto blocks of tar, using paper as the primary medium, later affixed to canvas or wood. Patterns are meticulously crafted with an intaglio press, followed by the application of alcohol-based colors and pigments, retaining charcoal sketch traces.
