Graffito Owl Plate

Graffito Owl Plate - Ceramiche Lega di Martina Scarpa

Defined by geometric elegance and visual harmony, this superb oval plate of the "The Sixties" Collection is handcrafted of ceramic and features a cream-colored geometric decoration on a cobalt-blue surface reminiscent of the conspicuous large, forward-facing eyes and hawk-like beak of an owl. The artist used the graffito technique and cobalt, silver nitrate, and glass-ceramic frits to obtain a striking color definition and reduction firing at high temperatures to add luster. This outstanding piece will be a unique centerpiece on a coffee table in both modern and classic decors.
