Il Maestro di Signa

Tuscany, Italy

Ceramist

Carlo, the Master of Signa, son of a master ceramist, decided to follow his father's footsteps after studying. His life is a story consisting of hard work and of a love and hate relationship with his craft. The name Master of Signa comes from the town of Signa, a lovely suburb of Florence where used to exist an important ceramic production since the times of Luca Della Robbia in the Renaissance. The Collection by the Master of Signa consists of sculptural ceramic plates with a microcosm story, creative outbursts inspired by symbolism, mysticism and alchemy.
