Waiting for the bus is a fascinating journey re-dicovering the richest Italian craftsmanship, from North to South, in the search of products and material, in which the “Made in Italy” is still a tradition, a search, a passion, a labour of the hands that can transform raw materials into products of great charm born from ancient stories of rare beauty passed down through the centuries. Wftb catalogue is a contemporary pad through which it is possible to reach the most remoted places of the italian peninsula. We use artisan knowledge to produce daring and innovative projects respecting the authentic techniques passed down by the local craftsmen. The products result in a blended piece of design that evaluates traditional methods and innovative thinking, looking at the ethics of production and for overall quality of project.
The journey started in Sicily, with the Caltagirone’s Collection, arriving to Vietri, Gubbio, Venezia as well as Lissone or Milano in Lombardia. Lastly, we came to Andria, Puglia.
The project aims to condemn the risks involved in mass production and is willing to protect the crafting methods and their identities. A journey that reinterpret local souvenirs with a more contemporary vision. It is challenging to keep the product’s millennial memory intact while modernizing the look and the feel. It is therefore the Know-how bridge between the past and the present.
A tradition that becomes design and creates a timeless aesthetic without boundaries.
